We've been helping this bird-like alien species called Tribadish. The eggs they lay are so thin-shelled that their numbers have been dwindling. Their bones break easily. We figured out that it might be that they don't have enough native plants that have calcium, and since they're not mammals they're not getting calcium from any other source

Victor will receive a stack of pamphlets and assorted reading material with a large note pinned to the top: While all this is fascinating, I hardly see what it has to do in getting you back in therapy. Underneath the note is a book from the Nexus library titled The Horrible Things That Happen To You When Ignoring Your Mental Health for Dummies.

Running from your problems is not nearly as assertive and effective as actually confronting them head on, metaphorically or literally with a gunshot to the face.

The book is full of helpful segments such as "What to Expect When You're Expecting PTSD" and "How to Lose a Hallucination in 10 Days."

This is stupid. I'm totally confronty. I'm the confrontiest. I'm so confrontational I make extremely assertive people look like introverts or... something. Anyway, I'm busy.

Victor is not busy. Victor is sitting around and trying to do origami with wet folds, and she's not doing a very good job of it.
