Robert, that is so funny! Can I link it from my journal? You have completely captured how I feel and how absolutely wrong they were and always seem to be. that first one, with the kid just looking at you... and the yellow flowers, I can actually hear the sunshine.
they really riled me because I thought they were going to close the bridges... and my landlord was at my house early yesterday saying, "You can't stay here tonight. The house isn't safe for high winds like that." And I got stuck at work, serving food to inconsiderate people until 8 pm (when they were going to close down the bridges- that destructive rumor caused me more grief) and I was like the contents of a shaken cola can, I just wanted to be on the other side and relax. and when i was, i fell right asleep. It's not the weather that freaks people out, it's the media- and they are ALWAYS wrong. Remember Floyd? And for this one, they evacuted all of the wrong people to other areas that were hit. Brilliant. I keep wondering how the authorities are going to outdo themselves in relation to hurricane strategies. Kudos to their bad luck

That's great.
You know, I don't think it rained after 11 p.m. last night. Both of my parents will be more affected than I was by Charley!
