It does look like the white stuff to me. We are having snow this morning here in Idaho, a big storm is supposed to be visiting us today.

Yep, it's definitely the white stuff. Or was, because it's about to be rained away (we're having one of those seemingly endless rainstorms at the moment). Oh, well, people want White Christmas, and they got it, so we can't be too grumpy. ;-)

It was just a short thing - by second day of Christmas I was out again (hence the photos :).

The snow was a welcome variety - and it even lasted a few days. It's just about totally rained away now, because we're having one of those rainstorms that seem to be in endless supply at the moment.

Yep, like too many things in life, aging is not for sissies, but I have to agree that it beats the alternative. ;-)

Proper light can be in short supply in the dead of winter (although the snow definitely helped), but when it's there, it often looks so good. One of my contacts on Flickr said that the light in winter in Iceland was like 5 hours of sunrise followed by 5 hours of sunset - these days it's nearer 2 hours either way, but he does have a point.

Spent Xmas all alone, eh? I wonder what the cats have to say about that.

I have come to the conclusion that cats have healing powers which they are able to impart to those who stroke, rub and scratch them. The main medium of this healing has to do with the absorption of their purring; they can passively transmit serenity to those who are able to appreciate it.
Years of studying the subject have brought me to the absolute conclusion that cats are the greatest gift to mankind since the wheel.
I know you agree...

nice pics, btw

Cats, yep, they're something else. I just wish they'd use those magic powers on themselves (but then my Siamese is no ordinary cat in any sense of the word).

Thanks. ;-)

we managed to bring back the colds we were (sorta) shaking while over in scotland. you'd think of all the things they could ban from importing into the country, they'd put illnesses at the top of their list.

due to the fog in london our flight from edinburgh to gatwick was delayed ever-so-slightly. that caused us to miss our connecting flight direct to home and get re-routed on planes without our luggage. the d50 was safely packed away in that luggage. it just arrived home around dawn this morning, almost three and a half days after we did.

new pictures are going to be posted soon. :)

the day i was feeling better (after being sick for a day or so) was the day we decided to climb Craig Varr in Loch Rannoch. while it's not exactly straight uphill, it might as well be.

and then our future son-in-law bought a wii video gaming system the day after christmas. i like playing the tennis game it came with, but my shoulder hurts like crazy. i'm simply getting too old for too much of this.

hope new years finds you healthier!

Well, all's well that ends well. I hope the trip did you both good.

And we can always hope for a healthier year. ;-)
