This picture was taken on the Universal Backlot during production. There are at least four (4) things revealing that this picture is not from 1945 Berlin.

I see a tripod that looks awfully 1990s, a water bottle and a watch on the lady to your left, and all y'all are smiling way too happy for a defeated people.

There is also some blue plastic thing (a water jug?) seen behind the gent behind you, and I don't know if the girl to your right should have her hair uncovered or not for post-war Germany. Maybe by 1960, but 1946 her hair might be considered immodest.

The lady at the far right ... is she wearing a backpack? What is that khaki strap around her shoulders?

And there is a triangle ...

they gave a LOT of us backpacks...with metal bars that criscrossed against our backs and dug in, and some of them had heavy blankets inside.

I am glad you noticed the backpacks, we stood for 5 days on a cobblestone hill while wearing old leather-soled shoes and backpacks.

Yet, that was probably the most fun I've had on a set.
