Once I’ve started a vid, I generally only give it about 45-60 seconds to hook me. There are a lot of vids in my To Watch folder, and not enough time to watch them. The things that will make me turn a vid off include: a song I just can’t stand; cutting too fast without any apparent purpose; too many white flashes without any apparent purpose; clip usage that doesn’t seem to have much to do with the song; and whether I’m finding the vid boring.

I found this interesting as it seems not unlike what I do, however I think in your answer to the recs question you talked about how knowing technique makes you consider some different factors.

So happy to spend this time with you. (: I love your attitude toward vidding, and I love your vids, so this is just great to read.

Great to read your answers to these questions! I love 'Cold, Cold Water', 'You Can Call Me' and 'The Loyal' so much, so it is lovely to hear they are favourites of your own too.

Mostly because I think new vidders should be allowed to just be new vidders.
I wish more people said that. :)

“vid what you want! Have fun!” Which is not a bad dictum, IMO. *g*

It is an awesome dictum! I support this!
