SONY VEGAS 10 RENDERING PROBLEM

Apr 29, 2012 22:51

hey guys, so i have been using Sony Vegas 10 for a couple months now, before i used Sony Vegas 8, which worked perfectly, & i didn't want to upgrade, but i was forced to, since Vegas 8 crapped out on me, so for the last couple months i have been having problems rendering my videos. Well after they render i suppose, i render in 720p HD just FYI. ( Read more... )

I have this problem all the time as well. My only solution has been to ex out once I am ready to render the video, reopen the project, and render it immediately upon opening it as those glitches tend to appear after working on the project for a bit. And I haven't found any solution other than reopening for the clips going black or becoming pixelated issue. =\ It's quite frustrating.

aww thank you, it's just sometimes when I'm rendering, Vegas will close itself without giving me an error message either, and i make fan videos, so it takes longer to render cause my colorings are complex and some of my effects are too, plus i like to use voiceovers, i wanted to try Vegas 9 but the video streams will not appear and i tried everything Google suggested, /sigh, Vegas is so frustrating.

Hmm, I make fanvids as well (with a fair amount of coloring and MANY voice overs lol) and I've never had Vegas ex out on me before (I've had it STOP rendering midway through and give an error message, but nothing like what you've described). Do you have anything else running while you're rendering vids? Depending on your computer's processor, you might not have enough memory available to render and do something else -- maybe that's why it closes down (rendering a vid takes up a RIDICULOUS amount of memory, and I've definitely noticed a huge difference in rendering times when I have other things/don't have other things running, especially the Internet). However, when you close your project, reopen it, and render it immediately, is the glitch problem still there?

uhm my computer has 4 GB of RAM mostly when i render my videos i render them while i sleep so i close everything down, & stop unnecessary prosses & leave it to render while i sleep. It isn't exiting out anymore, it's just doing the random pixel glitches after rendering... it's really annoying. But thank you for repling :D

I'm not sure how to fix your exact issue, but I've found the best solution for outputting video in Vegas is to use project settings and output settings as close to the source settings as possible - which means it's not changing the format or compression while it's rendering ( ... )

I depends on what your source is. If you do that "match media settings" thing I described, then look at the project properties, it'll give you all the frame rates and pixel sizes and whatnot. Just find an .avi output that is similar and tweak to match.

thank you so much i will try that and see how if it works, & i'll reply here with what happened whether it worked or not, so if people have the similar problem as me they will know what worked/didn't for me
