Shogun

I finished a book tonight at work. It's called 'Shogun' and it took me QUITE a while to read. It is 1152 pages and takes place in Japan during the early 1600's. I'm not going to try and explain it, because it's just too complex... But, I will say that the Samurai were quite an interesting people. I almost wish I lived with them back then. I enjoyed it very much. It's one of the best story's I've ever read.... And it has a great ending! :) I was truly suprised to find out Toranaga wanted to become Shogun afterall. He had me fooled!

Yeah, I really should pick that book up again. Been a long time since I last picked it up (over 10 years! lol). My only complaint was that they build up to this big war and then the book ends. I remember really getting excited about the war and being disappointed that Clavell stopped there. Btw hope your stress fractures heal as quickly as possible. That's rough stuff. :(
