My car broke down today. The exhaust separated from the engine and it's ridiculously loud now. I took it to a shop recommended by my regular mechanic, and they gave me a price of 655$ because everything from the engine back needs to be replaced. I told them that was completely impossible for me and that I could swing 300. So, they're doing what
