I love Northanger Abbey! I think it's hilarious, and a fabulous YA novel (while the others are fabulous adult romantic comedies). So I vote yes! :)

Oooh, thanks for that vote! I saw it described as a parody somewhere and had this sudden awful premonition of what would have happened if I read it and didn't realize it was a parody.... :)

ahaha...I got Elinor Dashwood.

"You are Elinor Dashwood of Sense & Sensibility! You are practical, circumspect, and discreet. Though you are tremendously sensible and allow your head to rule, you have a deep, emotional side that few people often see."

Persuasion is probably so close on the heels for my favorite Austen novel that Pride and Prejudice should be scared.

Sense and Sensibility is my least fave, 'cause I over identify with Elinor and that pisses me off.

Mansfield Park I held off on reading for years because people had scared me away from Fanny Price, but you know what? I kinda love it. And the Billie Piper version is okay, for film adaptations, but the one true Mansfield has not been made, to my mind.

That's a random assortment of thoughts, but it springs from your feeling about "no one liking the other three." Though I'm not a big Northanger fan. But I also haven't read it in a while.

I feel really defensive of Fanny Price, and kind of frustrated with people who can't get far enough into her historical period and social position to sympathize with her. I am assuming these people exist, and I am irritated with them.

Also &PERSUASION; ♥ ♥ ♥
