Ok...so I'm writing this in Deepest Sender from the laptop via our neighbors wi-fi because my computer is busy and its easier to hop on our neighbors wireless than run a cable to where I'm sitting. Transparent title bars? I'm glad Apple gave that up in version 10.2 after using it in OS 10.1. Although..it does kind of remind me of the clear plastic bezel around my iMac monitor. :-)

Okay. So by January if not by christmas, I'll have a PC laptop....I know tons of programs for Mac OS X to tweak, hack, and enhance the computer. I know less for Windows. So I'm downloading alot of stuff now. Here are the things I have so far.

Dipping my toes in Linux
I've finally managed to get a linux distro to boot on my computer and bring up more than a command prompt. I just got the most recent version of Ubuntu Linux as a live CD and it worked. Which is more than I can say for the PowerPC versions of Suse, Gentoo, Yellow Dog, Debian, Red Hat and Mandrake. Actually to be fair, I think I only tried Yellow ( Read more... )
