Toy Crisis
So, last night my little girl had a toy crisis. We'd gone to the city just for something to do and to go shopping. We went to Swiss Chalet (yum!), then to the Bulk Barn to get some chocolate chips and then to the mall. We wandered around the mall for awhile, Jenna played on the jungle gym for a bit and then her father and her went to Pretzelmaker to get a pretzel while I went to Chapters to get a Starbucks coffee (OMG Cinnamon Dolce Latte = YUM!). We then left the mall and went to the pet store (like the zoo but free). We were about 45-50 mins out of the city, on the way home. It was like 7pm and she starts asking for "Princess Kitty" Anyone who knows me in RL has had the esteemed honor of meeting Princess Kitty. She's a black and white teenie beanie baby (from McD's) dressed in an assortment of Barbie doll dresses, though her favorite dress is a long sleeved pink velor number.
Well, I looked in the bags and all over the back seat and on the floor. No Princess Kitty. By this time, Jenna is hysterical and Matt says he knows where she left her, at the Pretzel shop. So, I call directory assistance on my cell and get the number. I call the pretzel place and lo and behold, they found Princess Kitty and put her in the Lost and Found at the Customer Service Desk. Yet another call to directory assistance to get the Guest Services number for the Mall.
I call and get a girl on the phone. I ask her if she has a black kitty in a pink dress in her lost and found. She says yes they do. I ask her how long they keep things for (afraid that the stuff would disappear before we got back to the Mall again, as it's 1.5 hrs away from our house). She says awhile. I mention to her where we live (actually work, cause few people know where the town is that I live in it's so small). She tells me that she's heading there tomorrow on the bus and that if I want, she will bring Princess Kitty on the bus with her and leave her at the Irving (bus stop) with our names and workplace name on it.
I thank her profusely and even though Jenna doesn't understand that she will get Princess Kitty back and that she is an AMAZINGLY lucky kid, am so happy that this girl would be kind enough to bring Princess Kitty with her so my litte girl will be happy. =)
