I've encountered a lot of reviews of The Glass Castle that say that they can't believe that her stories are actually true and that they hated the book because it seemed so out there. Whatever your feelings end up being, I used to work with her brother Brian, and it's for real. Before her book was even published, he used to talk with us about his life growing up, and just...wow.

Also, I totally loved Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I think I would like to re-read that this year.

Glass Castle is okay, kind of fluffy.

I was just talking about House of Leaves with my friend the other day. She says it's eerie and great. Actually, she's been talking about it for months so I'm definitely going to get around to reading that one.

I tried to read it about 2 years ago but it's a huge brick and I never got very far.
