Paljon olen minäkin lukenut mutta vähän eri kirjoja. Carlos Ruiz Zafonilta täytyy kyllä lukea lisääkin, Tuulen varjo oli hieno.

Minulla taas nuo Zafonit eivät oikein napanneet. Yritin useamman romaanin verran (eli yritin ainakin saada luettua sen Salattu kirjasto -trilogian), mutta päädyin siihen, että ko. kirjailija ei vain ole minun makuuni.

Jos luet englanniksi, suosittelen ehdottomasti kaikki mahdolliset scifi-kirjallisuuspalkinnot tänä vuonna voittaneen Ann Leckien Ancillary Justicea ja Ancillary Swordia! Erittäin hyviä!!!

Kiitos vinkistä, täytyy panna Goodreadsiin lukulistalle. Englanti kyllä sujuu. Viime aikoina olen vain perehtynyt Suomi-spefiin. Seuraavaksi taitaa lähteä Jenny Kangasvuon Sudenveri. Taannoin ahmin Umberto Econ Prahan kalmiston, joka oli upea. Historiafriikki kun olen myös. Ja jossain välissä pitäisi lukea vielä pari osaa Salla Simukan Lumikki-trilogiaa. Eikö tää lista ikinä lopu? ;)

We aren't reading much in common ... although a little of that is that I don't read Finnish. When I read Winter's Tale, it was in English.

I got curious about The Winter's Tale after I saw there was a movie, but I read some bad reviews, so I just thought I'd try the book. And I liked it okay, though wasn't that much blown away.

I see we both read Ann Leckie's novels, which I loved. Maybe the second one even more than the first one. Still, she deserves all the awards she got.

I've read some excellent sff in Finnish this year. I recommend Emmi Itäranta's Memory of Water, anything by Johanna Sinisalo, and I hear that Quantum thingie is good, but I haven't read it.

Yeah! One! And that would be Rei Shimura ja tappava manga, which I read ages ago. I tried to read other books in the series, but didn't care for them, so it was really just the manga references that kept me going. :D
I've started reading La Sombra del Viento though and plan on reading the rest of the series. So far, I've enjoyed it, but it requires a bit of extra to pick it up (since I'm reading in Spanish).
Also want to read Winter's Tale and books by Murakami (I've only read Norwegian Wood ). :)

Btw. Are you on Goodreads??

I've read a few books in the Rei Shimura series, they're okay, but nothing special.
