It's a game. The Powers That Be [Rogue is starting to use the phrase ironically] decided that some people were "cops", other people were "robbers", and a lot of them decided to go with it. With great enthusiasm, in some cases.
I don't remember what I was like in my teens and twenties, so I have no idea if I ever had that kind of energy.
I was drafted into it, but as a "cop" I only caught one "robber", and that was by accident. When it was my turn to run, I just avoided "cops" altogether, so I didn't participate all that much.
I'm inclined to think I wasn't. But that might just be bias talking - there aren't a lot of kids who don't do stupid things.
I thought it might be something like that. After all, I couldn't think of a reason that would explain why everyone was running after each other that way.
It must be nice, having this instead of something less enjoyable.
Having fun comes easier to some than others. Maybe the Sphere is a little more benign than people think, although that's still no reason to lower our guard.

I'm certain I wasn't like that when I was that age.

Yeah, you're right. Though I think it's okay if kids do stupid things. They have time to grow up, and learn things.
