When I can here you say, "You make me feel like a whore"....
So, like Amanda, I am a survey whore. What can I say?
First name: Krista
named after: No one particular. My dad just liked it.
which finger is your favorite? Left hand ring finger
do you like your handwriting? YES! It's illegible, but I don't care what you say, Karen, it's pretty (Its not my fault! Blame chancory cursive.......Oh Zorro with a tail, when will you bring me snow?)
Favorite lunch meet: Turkey? Doesn't matter- I eat almost anything.
bad habits: Procrastination, freaking out under pressure, and not taking care of my nails (he is going to KILL me- I always wait too long and he makes fun of me in languages I don't understand.....)
most embarrassing CD on the shelf: AB QUINTANILLA Y LOS KUMBIA KINGS! HEE! I love those guys, and everyone teases me for it! (Come on, sexy spanish boys with gorgeous accents who could probably say "My name is Inigo...." just right. Whats not to like?)
if you were another person, would YOU be friends w/you? I think so, actually. I'd probably piss myself off often enough, but when you like obscure subjects, you take friends in those areas when you can.
are you a daredevil? No. I take risks, but not careless/unneccesary ones.
have you ever told a secret you swore not to tell? I honestly can't recall one of these. I mean, I've mentioned 'secrets' when not sworn to secrecy, but only when it is a time that truely calls for it. That is probably one of my strenghts, actually.
do looks matter? To me? Not any further than "If it looks like a duck...." I mean, if you look like a total fuckup, then probably. Besides, I have such a weird concept of beauty, based mostly on personality or some muse that has a really weird sense of humor. (not ONE word about Steve....)
how do you release anger? I clench my hands and tighten the small of my back and shove things out of my way. No kidding. Odd, I know, but it works. (When I worked in the restaurant, I used to go scream in the walk-in fridge. Literally. Worked extremely well. And yes, it's the one with the voices!)
do you trust others easily? Not even close. I trust myself more than anyone else on this earth, and there are extremly few people I really trust (so if I trust you, feel spiffy. If not, its nothing personal.) Its just....most people give me no reason to trust them.
what was your favorite toy as a child? A stuffed pink bunny with ears that folded inside its head named "Rosie." Playdough. And Barbies- not to play with, but to dress up (I really used to piss people off, because all I wanted to do was rearrange the furniture, etc, .......)
what class in school do you think is totally useless? "Totally" is a strong word, meant only for Senora Browns spanish classes. "Mostly useless" classes include every one except ap art, study hall, sculpture, and backgrounds
do you have a journal? YES! I am also a journal whore. There is something irresistable about journals to me- the physical books, not necessarily writing in them. Especially antique looking ones. (OH MY GOD, John Sellars, congradulations! --sold a journal to Tom Hanks through a store that carries his stuff in NY)
do you use sarcasm a lot? Yes. Not as much as I used to, though.
what do you look for in a girl? A purely platonic relationship. Strength, snarkyness, respectable, fun to be around, so on..... Why no "what do you look for in a boy?" Guess what, I'm answering it anyway. 1)respects me 2) respectable (intelligent, not an asshole, isn't abusive--sad that I have to say that, but I know way too many relationships where its not the case) 3) we "click" 4)passionate about something (I don't care what- preferably something in the arts but anything really (except maybe rocks, but thats Delaney's fault...)
nicknames: Kris, Krissy, and K occassionally, but mostly just Krista. Of course, there is also Blondie, Slut, Bitch, Skank, Whore, Big fat lesbian, and so forth.............
would you bungee jump? No, but I really want to skydive one day.
do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Never.
do you think that you are strong? "enough to live without you" Oh, Cher....you scare me. (Dave, the voices made me do it!)
favorite ice cream flavor: I love strawberry and vanilly, but I also enjoy unusual flavors, like cantelope and pumpkin
shoe size: 9/10
favorite colors: burnt orange, bright yellow green (yes, like my heinous jacket that I adore!)
least favorite thing: Ants. Fights. Wisdom teeth getting pulled. Bad things happening to people I love and being powerless to stop it (yes, that includes myself).
# of wisdom teeth: None! (anymore....)
# of people that have a crush on you right now: None. Incase you haven't noticed, I only attract men significantly older than me or foreign men. No kidding. Jose and MightyMouse from Vitos (they gave me a friggin sandwich with a heart on it, for god's sake), that customer in his late thirty's (twas a bad scene. When he found out that I was only 15 at the time, he shook my hand and told me that it was really too bad, because he thought I was cute (no fucking kidding-he was only staring at my ass the whole time I served him...) ewww. I really really dislike dirty old men. Checking out is one thing, but do you HAVE to be blatantly obvious about it??!). Then there was the guy who tried to hire me as a stripper for a tv episode on "Waitresses in NJ"....yeah, he is very lucky to still be breathing. Wow-- this is really sad (especially because I could go on much further). And it's not like its a combination of good and sleazy guys, you know? Hell, I actually had a guy in our grade RUN from me when he found out I liked him....gol. Whatever. "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them".
who do you miss most right now? Hmmm....I don't know. Nanna Phylis! (I love this woman!). Maybe some people I used to work with (stacy! dante!). Dawn from YAW...TRACY! (aww, Tracy).
listening to: "My Sexual Life" Everclear "she hates all those stupid boys, she can't wait until their done, she wants someone who can take his time, she wants someone who can make her come. Can you make me come?" heh.
last thing you ate? Chicken and rice.
if you were a crayon, what color would you be? Oohh....tough one. Probably a warm red with a fantastically amusing name.
current weather: Ice cold.
last person on the phone: Technically a salesperson, but the last person I had a conversation with was Karen. Not much of a phone person, to be honest. With some, hell yeah, but generally no. I like listening more than talking, and hate akward silences.
first thing you notice about the opposite sex: Completely depends on the person. Generally eyes (dark and mysterious?! Where?!) , but varies: anything from arms (oh dear do I like nice arms....) to voice to clothing to hair......sketchbooks (YES, I am a dork like that, I will check out a guy just because he is carrying something artsy.)
how are you today? Surprisingly okay. Kind of impatient, but good. Saw Greg, which was amusing.... crazy college kids!
favorite drink: Rasberry Iced tea
favorite alcoholic drink: things you don't taste the alcohol in, especially frozen fruit slushy creations
favorite sport: To play or watch? To watch is basketball, to play...PILLOWPOLLO! lol. In seriousness, though, I really want to try fencing if I ever get the friggin time. Maybe this summer.
siblings: Shannon, 10th grade (By the way, how do my friends accidentally attack her? Mike tried to take her Sprite, and John did his Dorito dance infront of her- and neither of them know her. I mean, they didn't even know i HAD a sister, and they managed to scare her. Lol. Ironic )
favorite month: August (my birthday and JLTC! Whooo!)
favorite food: I like everything except pickles, salmon, green olives, any kind of raw meat, and root beer (yes, squid, fried and non, wild boar, shark etc....). Probably shrimp. Yummy.
last movie: In a theater: Love Actually (yay Alan Rickman!) Otherwise: the Fisher King
are you too shy to ask someone out? Yes. Ish. I think I'll be okay in college, but....well, I don't particularly enjoy rejection, which is inevidable (see "# of people that have a crush on you right now"). I know this makes me a total loser, but this fucker I liked found out in 7th grade and made my life hell (literally dropped from an A+ to a B- because of this kid. I mean, getting stabbed in the back with pencils and shit....I am looking forward to kicking him in the balls upon graduation.), plus having another boy run from me when he found out that I liked him (now THAT was funny as hell. What did he think I was going to do, kidnap him and rape him or something?) and jeff no longer talking to me................. so I am not particularly eager for rejection again.
scary movies or happy endings: Depends on my mood. Personally, I like weird and twisted movies. Memento I LOVE (see it if you haven't- its this guy whos wife is raped and murdered, which causes him to lose his short term memory- while he looks for the killers. In 5 minute clips-BACKWARDS. Really cool.)
summer or winter: Fall and Spring, actually. I hate both extreme heat and extreme cold (literally allergic: swelling and hives. Its a bad scene.), but I love the way summer looks. Snow is beautiful, too.
hugs or kisses: Both please! (well, from pretty boys. The rest of you, just hugs please.)
relationships or one night stands: I'm not getting much of either, right now, but relationships (except in very very rare situations, I suppose....like in Madrid and Belgium...jk! K, I love that one, incase you haven't notice).
who is most likely to respond? Probably not John, because I will probably beat the shit out of him for being an ass before he gets a chance.......gol. (see his survey). Oh, and my answer to the color thing for him is something bright and screaming and obnoxious, like a blinding neon yellow (I refuse to comment on his survey, so pass it on.)
reading: The Sun Also Rises, and Speaker for the Dead (yes, I am cheating and putting the Black Veil to a hault. Screw you if you don't like it)
on your mousepad: Mickey mouse
favorite board game: Risk
favorite smell: Certain boys (seriously! I love that musky smell that some of them have- the kind that makes you look their way when you walk by.) Also the Christmas smell at the mall. Rain. Baking smells.
