I'm always working on my paper in the major, always afraid that I'm not getting enough work done, that I have nowhere to begin and don't know my subject matter that well. That's why the time that is not spent writing is spent reading.
Since I've decided to make Mind's Eye, Soul's Reflection part of my paper, I have to/get to reread it. Fortunately

Fernwithy has such a wonderful grasp on worldbuilding, the dynamics between werewolves, what's going on in Dora's head, I feel inadequate beside her skills

Don't feel inadequate - I feel the same way about your stuff when I look at mine! Everyone focuses on different things in fanfic, that's all. Her stories focus people who are total outcasts - your story is more about people who aren't really outcasts (until the DEs take over, that is), but who are largely misunderstood.

You know what you should read? Lessons for Life. It's on ff.n and Sugar Quill. There's some things that are a bit dated, per se, as it's really pre-OoTP... I think it was one of the first fanfics I read (that was of any quality), and that was in 2000-2001. So there's a lot of things that are cliche now, and Ginny's nothing like the character we see in OoTP-DH.

I knew that there was a character called Rose in the story, and OC, and I've just met her, and I really like her - for some reason it really cheers me to find an OC who immediately strikes me as being as

Japanese Ghost Stories does indeed sound fantastic, but I'm very happy with Stress & Disease because it guarantees I should be able to graduate on time.
