Well, I've just come back from my second time watching the film and I think it's time for some random thoughts!
tl;dr: The first half of the film was stronger than the second. The writing of the adaptation was great, but the book's atmosphere remains in the book. And the acting was stupendous.

They cut the film slightly for UK release, and thanks to Tumblr and GIF sets, I know where.

They cut how Haymitch won the games.

So annoyed.

But wait, that can't be. How Haymitch won the game isn't in the American release... all we know is, he DID win. Link please?

But I've been seeing clips of him as a young kid and the axe flying back over the edge! Bzuh?

Huh? I've also heard tell of footage of Cinna being beaten to a pulp in the second Launch Room... maybe they're already shooting scenes for Catching Fire and footage has leaked?
