Late as Usual
Yesterday was my birthday. Oddly this has not been one of those weeks of hell before the day as has been the usual case lately. Been pretty much a "regular" week. Its unsettling to have that..lol. Oh well, happy birthday to me.. -
Writer's Block: News development
I was 5 years old and visiting relatives in Michigan. JFK's funeral was on tv all day..I remember the set being a black and white one. I was wanting to watch something more my level of interest, as a funeral for a president didnt mean anything to me! How did it impact my world view? It didnt. I was too young to care. -
So Long 2009!
Well 2009 wasnt TOO bad a year, but I guess all things come to an end. Had a few more "ups" this year than usual, but a couple of really bad "downs"..Oh well; tis the way of life. Another year down and another on the way in... -
Another Year Older
July 1 was my birthday. I turned 51. didnt have as bad a week before/after as usual, but it had its influence. The birthday itself started at 805am when I couldnt go back to sleep, and ended last night about 1015pm. I got a card, a giant chocolate-chip cookie "cake", and a photo collage. It was very nice. New Star Trek Movie
I dont usually do this, but this is an exception. I went to see the new Star Trek movie yesterday afternoon and I didnt expect anything outstanding. I was wrong!!! Its a really GOOOD movie!!! A Rare Journal Entry!
Well, we had SNOW yesterday. Not the usual light dusting that Knoxville usually gets these last few years but an honest 1 1/2" snow. The roads didnt get covered much but by dark a lot were slick. The houses, trees, cars, yards, etc were covered. It was glorious. They are now saying we could see another 2-3" by tomorrow. I hate winter. -

Post Bday Thoughts 2008
Well my Hawaiian birthday has come and gone. It is just another day in the flow of the year. Two weeks before, I had laryngitis, and last week before it, I stretched my hamstring tendon at work and was limping the whole week. Turned 49 this year (July 1). Got a new hard drive and a DVD R/w device in this thing and so far I am pretty happy with it. This year's B-day wasnt as dramatic as it usually is. probably because there isnt any in my life at the moment ( Read more... )
