If you agree with this statement, post it in your journal:

I'm pro-choice, and I would have an abortion.

*If pregnancy is not in the theoretical cards for you but you want to participate, feel free to substitute the statement "I am pro-choice." The implications are slightly different, but solidarity is just as important.

What's the difference between a woman who is pro-choice and would have an abortion and a woman who is pro-choice and wouldn't have an abortion? I feel like I'm missing something here.

the I'm Pro-choice but would never get an abortion thing has been used quite effectively to rank the women that wouldn't do it over those who would.

of course, the way i see this one, it is understood that family planning is a complicated issue and of course we wouldn't all get an abortion in just any situation.

I think I just felt a little sensitive because my choice to not have another abortion was made into such a BFD at the time. I never even thought of the whole "more moral than thou" aspect until you pointed it out.

i think the "would" implies that if the situation led you to choose one.

I am pro choice, but would probably not have an abortion.

since you don't have a uterus that is sort of an easy leap. this is in response to the women who so often say, "of course i'm pro0choice but I would never have an abortion." which set up a sort of moral hierarchy.

but i'm sure you probably knew that.
