Got my roommate assigned finally. Some girl from Allentown, PA named Julia. She seems nice and athletic, and I hope we will get along well. She may also be able to help me find my way around PA! She has a boyfriend back home, and seems to like pink quite a bit - I think she will be nice, but that's only judging from her email. Anyway, we meet

Ooh, lucky! I wish I knew my room assignment already. I'm going crazy just thinking about it! My friend and I requested one another [because we're cowards, lol], but it's no guarantee.. so I'm a bit anxious really ^^;; Good luck with your roomy though! I'm sure she's just as excited as you, so things should be fine :]

Thanks for the good wishes. My roommate and I are getting along really well so far, but like you said...It's no guarantee even if you already know each other!

My job problem wasn't anything too serious. It was just the last straw in a long series of rude comments, eye-rolls, and impatient sighs...It has been a great job (for the most part), and has provided me with the money to put myself through college...But being treated as a paid slave really isn't all that nice. It's kind of a complicated situation, since my boss is/was a friend of the family, but I will just let her know that I don't plan to return next summer. Maybe I can find an internship at an office closer to my house, so I don't have to drive 45 minutes either way...

Hope everything works out between you and your roomy/friend! It's cool that you will already have one definite friend on campus!

Heeeeey, we should both work at Barnes and Noble next summer! XD Especially seeing as it's obviously not happening for me this summer (what's left of it anyway). Then we could like, take coffee/lunch breaks at the same time at the oh-so-convenient-in-store-Starbucks-cafe-with-the-killer-cheescake-from-the-Cheescake Factory! XD
