Yay I am very happy for you (and jealous because I can't afford it). If you could tell me what Richard Dawson says in the interview I would really appreciate it. I guess not the whole thing but if he says anything interesting. :)
And for a question
1) What are your top 5 novels 2) Top 3 Hogan's Heroes episodes (I am going to be evil and throw that one back at you). :)
LOL - I will most defintiely pass along anything particularly amazing Dawson says (probably most of the interview...at least, I hope so!). :)
Now then...
Top 5 Novels: It's hard for me to assign them numbers, so I'll just list them in no particular order...heh!
Great Expectations, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Oliver Twist, and Gone With the Wind. (I would have included Harry Potter, but I couldn't pick just one or two!)
Top 3 HH Episodes: Another tough call (ha - suppose I deserve to have this question thrown back at me!), so once again in no particular order... :)
Happiness is a Warm Sergeant, The Swing Shift, and How to Catch a Papa Bear. (Everyone Loves a Snowman deserves an honorable mention, though, mostly 'cuz that's where my default icon comes from...and you've probably noticed that most of these episodes feature Newkirk - big surprise, right?) :D
Great book choices well I have not read those Dickens' ones yet but I've read the others. I especially like P&P and GWTW
And I figured I would name my top 3 episodes here might as well (since I never answered in the other thread)
The Missing Klink (because of the whole Nimrod Thing) Everybody loves a Snow Man (because it's so nonsensical but hilarious) Praise the Fuhrer and Pass the Ammunition (although I do miss Carter the little talent show they put on is hilarious)
Homorable Mentions: Klink Vs The Gonculator, Monkey Business, The Swing Shift, Klink's Escape, Gowns for Yvette, and any episodes where the Heroes throw a party.
Very nice! Heh - and I actually remembered after I posted that I should have mentioned Les Miserables in my honorable mentions for novels...really awesome!
Awesome episode choices - there are so many fun ones it's REALLY hard to choose! Gowns for Yvette is one of my favorite LeBeau episodes, and Praise the Fuhrer is also classic HH...Knights in Shining Armor is a good one I forgot to mention on my own list. You were right - it was a pretty evil question! :)
Ha ha - well, as you said...Viggo is for Viggo Mortensen, because I made my username at the height of my LotR interest!
And the "sloof" part is from an aside joke we had in high school. My friends and I somehow came up with that word to describe anyone/thing that was good, positive, or generally awesome. And for me, Viggo was a sloof/majorly sloofy! Dorky, I know, but that's how it came about!
And 28 is tacked on the end because it's my favorite number.
