I guess this is a never ending thing, this parenting/worrying/concern thing. I guess I'm getting all this because he's pretty easy, as babies go, and sleeps well at night and has only really been sick once

Viki - this is the kind of thing that makes me so crazy about daycare. What is your gut feel on Ana? Do you really think she would hit Luke? I don't have any good advice, but I know I'd be so worried.

Is it only Ana and the other woman? Is Ana replacing her with another worker? I'd agree with the others that dropping in unannounced is a good way to get a better sense of the situation.

Hang in there and I hope you learn more about this soon.

It just seems weird that she'd be all happy and nice when I drop him off and then all of a sudden change when I leave. Doesn't seem like her, so my guy tells me its not true. The more I think about it I think its not. yeah, its only Ana and another person. She's had at least 5 different helpers in the last year. I think partly because the one that she had for a while left and then she got someone to help her until she found someone else. Now this one is leaving, so she's got another helper. Jack's dropping by this morning, under the pretense of bringing Luke's bag. I should be getting a call from him soon telling me how it went.

Actually, what I'm wondering is if you need to get someone else involved. Social Services, the police.... if she's been accused of hitting the children in her care, there may be some way the authorities can monitor her?? Or you can see if there's been any other complaints, either against Ana or against the lady who's leaving?

You must have missed Danielle's post. That was my first thought, that they will investigate if someone complains. I checked her file, along with the other people I was concidering for daycare, when I was looking. She had only one violation, she had 6 infants in her care and was by herself, she can only have 4 infants with one person there. She's been doing it for 15 years and only 1 violation, which was better than the other one that was our top contender who had a dog snap at a kid, often had the numbers issue violated, and a couple other problems. She was the best choice when looking at their files and she was the one that hit us personality wise as a better choice. So my gut tells me its not true. The lady who's leaving is an alien, i'm not sure leagally or not, so I doubt they have a file on her.
