Isn't it weird the way some things get to you when others don't? I had a nasty incient in my year 8 class on Friday when one group of kids were using the TV trolley (empty) as a prop in their scene. Well Ofsted have been and gone and as expected the highest performing subject in the school did not even get visited! We have a hectic week of year 10 performances to five primary schools from the area and bloody Ofsted ring and say they will be in on Wednesday and Thursday. Oh well I don't care I am happy that my planning is more than up to scratch - so long as they don't pop into my class P5 on Wednesday I will be fine, I have the class from HELL!!!

It seems such a long term and we have only really (even only nearly) finished the second week. I am now recovering from the dreaded lurgy which has lasted for weeks but the coughing is less horrific and I feel almost human some days ( Read more... )

well it seems from all of our postings that the Autumn term is hard work as usual. Ok - There i one of those super gyms on the other side of the ring road so I went to have a look around this evening. It is a David Lloyd (my Dad knew him years ago, no really) and very swanky. A tornado hit Leeds today - I still have my roof but it was like "oh my word here we go again". It was not that far from me either. Obviously I have not moved far enough! Do you think they have them in Sweden? Iceland? Greenland? Cloud cookoo land???

I bought a tree yesterday! I have wanted a magnolia tree for years and promised myself that when I had space I would buy one and so I took my Mum up to Harrogate to a lovely garden centre where they had loads of choice.
