Eh, all cosmetics exist to enhance natural beauty.
To say someone is "letting themself go" because they aren't wearing makeup is kind of a faulty logic, for a number of reasons.

A fair number of women don't understand how they should be wearing makeup... it's supposed to be subtle and enhance, not drastic and overpowering (Unless that's the specific look you're going for that night).

In addition to that, some women either don't need, or don't wear make-up well, or at least the mos general types applied in the average styles, or just can't afford the types of cosmetics that would better suit them. One would never dream of slapping a can of cheap paint on a beautiful marble statue.. the same thing applies to natural beauty.

But then, it's the people at your work. I'd not expect them to think too deeply on anything.

amen to your last statement. actually amen to everything. i was always told that the best makeup looked like you were hardly wearing any. like you said to enhance, not scream that you killed a clown on the way to work.
