High 20s, wall-to-wall sunshine, but cos of the low humidity compared to bangkok it feels cool and breezy, lovely! I'm flying out of thailand in a weeks time (the 13th). I don't feel entirely safe writing about why until I'm out of the country (althought that's almost certainly just paranoia), but lets just say I'm looking forward to the comforts of civilisation, like adaquate sewage systems, decent roads, and a non-corrupt police force.

Been waiting round on Ko Samui for the full moon party (among other reasons, such as the beaches, seafood, beer etc). Three days ago it was cancelled due to a buddist holiday, then the last two days it's been postponed due to Thai elections that mean alcohol restrictions. Today, when it's actually going ahead? I just rode a moped around the island of Ko Samui, in Thailand.

I HAVE STARED DEATH IN THE FACE, AND WON.

I'm in bangkok! It's hot, smelly, noisy and ace. Will post more at (much) later date, just thought I'd say I'm alive and arrived. Oh, and gmail wont work for me on this machine- depending on wether it will anywhere else I might be out of contact (apart from, well, this) for a while.

That was a hell of a week. For those who don't know, my dad had a heart attack a week last monday. He went to the GP the next morning (thinking that it was bad acid reflux or something) and our ace GP did an ECG. Ten minutes later he was in an ambulance heading to hospital.
