so essentially, it's the ocean, right next to the ocean. i'm not sure that i see the point. & what do you do with a 115-foot deep end? scuba dive to see the concrete bottom when you could be diving in the ocean to see awesome fish & stuff? pssh.

I'll bet they do use it for certification and practice dives. When you're diving, you usually don't go deep at all. That pool is about twice as deep as a standard certification dive. But as you said, there's nothing down there, so ultimately, that would be kind of lame.
