sometimes life is awesome. or at least doesn't suck.
Mildly productive today. Fixed a toilet. Went to the bank and comparison-shopped minifridges for Mom at 3 stores. Got some kickin' office supplies. Taped some stuff from the DVR. I may or may not be quite as productive as I was friday. I have not accomplished two of my main goals (replace the toilet innards in two different bathrooms - same job twice equals two jobs, in my estimation), but have gotten loads of other stuff done, so I'm feeling no real guilt ( Read more... ) -

Am currently working on spreading my eggs into various baskets. The job search is diversifying, I'm dipping my toes in multiple online dating pools and am still collecting a mad assortment of free kindle books. Seems like as good a theme as any to apply to my life, right ( Read more... ) -

Quasi-official word that I didn't get a spot. Not one of the four. I was chipper with patrons and other volunteers and librarians all thru my shift. Furniture and Stuff delivery is set for wednesday. Neither of us has really done anything this weekend (I think I've put in about 2 hours in the last 48). yes, i do hate throwing things away
So it turns out Habitat for Humanity has, like, standards about what donations they'll accept. I have a sofa and a loveseat that are in excellent condition, never been in a house with smokers or pets (only owned by two households), they have slipcovers, still pretty comfy.
