Just watched FMA 20 raw ....

And, wow. O__o highlight to read spoilers: Ed and Al don't really ANGST, per se, but still, wow, they endure so much ... ;___; It's pretty much identical to the manga, but as always, the animation and voice acting really brings the storyline to life. I loved watching Ed's fight with number 48, very smoothly done and as always, his expressions were terrific and interesting. And all the blood ... ;__; he didn't just stop bleeding immediately after getting cut like always seems to happen in manga ... they made a point of it, even. *hugs Edward* And Alphonse enduring mental wounds even worse than Ed's physical ones ... they did something interesting by having 66 play on Al's fears that Ed is hiding something from him. ... wow. O_o

Yet, I'm going to write Tsubasa fanfiction. >D

lazulisong, happy belated birthday!

"I'm home!" Syaoran gasped as he burst into the small house he shared with his father.

"Welcome home!" Princess Sakura cried, flying out from where she had hidden behind the door to hug Syaoran with a flying tackle.

"Ah, Princess, look out!" Syaoran panicked, waving a hand in front of himself and half-turning as if to protect something in his arms.

Sakura screeched to a halt. "Syaoran?" she inquired, raising her eyebrows and looking worried. Syaoran never refused her hugs, even though he would get embarrassed. And then she realized, "You're hurt!" His cheek was scratched.

But Syaoran checked whatever it was he was hiding in one arm under his cloak, and smiled, relieved. "It's okay," he said, smiling at her. "Look what I rescued!" He lifted the cloak away and held out what was in his hand - a bird's nest with three babies inside. "It was gonna fall," he explained solemnly, settling the nest with the chirping baby birds on the bed and hanging up his cloak on the peg by the door. "The branch was broken from a sandstorm."

Sakura marveled at the baby birds, bending over the nest; they were slowly growing in feathers. They chirped at her. "Uwaaah," she breathed. "They're so beautiful!" She looked up at Syaoran.

He smiled back at her with that gentle smile of his. "I have to put them back somehwere nearby or their mom won't take them back. At least, that's what Dad says," he informed her seriously, coming over to stand by her side. "But I couldn't find a spot to do it right away, so I brought them home."

But Sakura had noticed something else. "You scraped your elbows," she said, frowning at him; she straightened and looked up at him, putting her hands on her hips and doing her best Touya-niisama impression. "Did you fall!?"

Syaoran looked embarrassed. "Only a little bit," he confessed, but before he could say more, Sakura spoke again.

"You need someone to clean up those cuts for your or they'll be infected," she lectured. "Do you have a medical kit?"

But Syaoran blushed and rubbed the back of his head. "Ah, Princess, you don't have to do that," he said nervously. "I--"

"I want to!" Sakura pressed. "Mou, Syaoran! Call me 'Sakura'! We've been friends for a long time, haven't we?"

Syaoran looked away. "... yeah," he agreed, then smiled again. "Let me just get the stuff for you then, okay?"

Syaoran grimaced when Sakura applied the alcohol to the cut on his face. They were both sitting on the floor, Sakura on her knees, and Syaoran cross-legged; Syaoran's elbows were already generously bandaged, and the smudges from brushing against the bark of the tree had been washed off. He leaned forward to give Sakura access to the cut on his face. "Ow!"

Sakura pouted a little. "I'm sorry," she said, frowning up at him as she leaned forward. "Does it hurt a lot?"

"It just kind of stings," Syaoran confessed.

"Well, I'm almost done," Sakura said with a motherly tone, getting out a little sticky bandage. "Here." She covered the cut with the bandage. "All better." And then, on impulse, she leaned forward and kissed the bandage. "Kiss to make sure!" she grinned.

Syaoran blushed, and looked down at his feet and bandaged elbows. "Thank you, Pr-- Sakura."

Sakura smiled, and the baby birds chirped obligingly to fill the silence. "Are you going to put back the nest?" she inquired.

"I have to so the babies don't die," he answered seriously, standing up and flexing his elbows.

"I wish they could stay with us," Sakura sighed as Syaoran wrapped his cloak around himself and picked up the nest. "They're awfully cute. But their mother will miss them."

"Yeah," Syaoran nodded, looking down at the nest in his arms and turning towards the door. "Well, here I go." He looked over his shoulder at the princess. "Will you come with me, Sakura?"

Sakura nodded eagerly, snatching her own cloak off Syaoran's bed. "I'll make sure you don't fall this time," she told him as she hurried out the door after him.

Syaoran shut the door behind them and smiled again. "With you making sure, I know I won't," he said.

Sakura blushed.
