Breakfast is waffles because America loves Canada's maple syrup (and so does Canada) and so the waffles are just an excuse to eat the syrup.

Canada's maple syrup is the best! And that's what everyone eats waffles for! Except people who only eat them with butter. I feel sorry for them. XD;;
