Haha, I get what you're saying, but it's really quite simple: I've never had a salary job before, or a job in an office before, so it will be at the least a nice change from what I have been doing for the last 8 1/2 years. Now, that doesn't mean I don't want to write the handbook of Why The Service Industry Sucks or that I'm going to quit waitressing entirely; it just means I won't be depending on the whims of irritated diners for my main income. =D

OMG WOOO :D Welcome to the ranks! It's sort of monotonous, but you get a desk! I was embarrassingly overwhelmed the first time I had MY OWN DESK to PUT MY THINGS ON.

I've had a Big Girl Desk Job for a couple years now, and I still worry about that all the time. I'm pretty sure everyone else at the office does too. We're all pretending. <3

DESKKK. I use mine for stacks of post-it notes and action figure dioramas.
