hey everybody else is doing it and I love it, so:
Ask me a fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general. Questions can be as wacky as you want. Ask me about tv shows, characters, fanfic in general, fandom issues/meta, anything about any of my stories

The truth is, I get sucked into series more by the main character(s) and circumstances than by relationships. Main characters who have horrible luck or circumstances but keep pushing through their troubles earnestly are my favorite by a long shot, especially if they're not SEKRITLY EMO or whatever, but honestly recovered or recovering from whatever trauma and working to solve their circumstances.
I also love derpy characters. Ones who are over-the-top and ridiculous and vaguely unaware of their own ridiculousness even when it's apparent to the reader. XD;;
As for relationships, though ... I particularly love it when between two characters who have a relatively close relationship, one of them is more loyal to the relationship than the other. This imbalance is just really interesting to me. In early Supernatural, Sam was a more independent character than Dean, and Dean's whole life is still wrapped up in Sam; in later Supernatural, you have Castiel who still will help the brothers (particularly ( ... )

I realize that's technically more than one question but think of it all as one. Simply: Your thoughts on season six? All that you care to share. :)

"Every episode in Season 6 is a fanfic. They're just not all in the same universe."
There's a lack of direction from the top and the characterization is all over the place from writer to writer. However! FANSERVICE GALORE and this makes me very happy! Also I could just watch Castiel being angry at Dean all day long, every day, and talking about things Dean doesn't understand and Dean making 'stop talking over my head' faces and Castiel bamfing all around the world forever, so. More of that, please? I don't even know.
Anyway. I'm not sure. I haven't watched every episode of this season, but all I ask is that each episode have its own semi-coherent plot so I'm not going WAIT WHAT THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE every few minutes. And for the most part, Season 6 has delivered on this so I'm happy! :)
