I almost forgot to post this. We went to opening night of a new tapas restaurant, and it was awesome! I think it will be my new favourite in town. I had been missing a couple of Auckland restaurants (Casablanca - Moroccan, and Bar Comida - Spanish) but this is as good as Bar Comida so I'm very happy.

...promptly leaving to catch a plane while I shivered outside in the cold. I had to call the AA and fend off airport people telling me I couldn't park there. Oh poor you!

Oh no, Greg's got form!
Stegzy's car has a fob and opens as he approaches but he has then left his keys in the car a could of time but it doesn't lock thankfully.

The only problem with it being linked to the phone and then automatically locking is, if you forget the key fob, then as far as the car is concerned you are still in the car when you leave your car there.

Of course Liberator is a good choice!

I'm not sure how people have locked themselves out, because you'd think the car wouldn't lock with the phone inside. One woman dropped hers while setting up a baby car seat and when she went to get in the driver door, it had already locked. It seems like a bug to me - the car should still be unlocked due to proximity.

However there's an easy fix - have someone else on your app and they can unlock remotely. We have both cars on our apps, so if Greg's does manage to lock himself out, I can unlock his car.

The fobs are an extra we purchased because my phone sometimes didn't connect and the car didn't unlock till I rebooted it, Plus they're easier to use if you want to lock/unlock from a distance, or just lock as Greg does because he doesn't have lock-on-walk-away set. They're on our house keys, so very unlikely to be left in the car.
