Questions for 7 - 11 December

Dec 15, 2021 15:34

I've got very behind with these. The weather's been miserable when it's meant to be summer, everything's been cancelled, the probably 5% of the 10% no-vaxxers society are demonstrating and calling everyone else Nazis, friends have been abused by no-vaxxers to the extent they didn't want to go to work, and I'm so depressed and pissed off with life ( Read more... )

I hope you soon feel a lot happier. Things have been pretty depressing here too in recent weeks. At least our weather has only been seasonably miserable rather than unseasonably miserable!

Thanks! What I need is something fun to look forward to.

I hope you have good seasonal celebrations planned with friends or family.

Thanks. On Christmas Day I'm going to my niece's - always assuming that we aren't back in full lockdown by then!

I hope you have good celebrations planned too.

Nope. We don't do anything on Christmas except cook a nice fish meal (though I've done a "summer tree" in the past) and one of our cats died of lymphoma during Hanukkah so we've had a crap summer all round so far. I wanted to do the tree (glass planets, LED-light pohutukawa flowers, jandals, retro caravans etc) but Greg said there's nothing to celebrate and it certainly feels that way. The only thing we're doing is a pub meal with friends on Saturday.

Maybe I'll make him get the tree from under the house. I want some sort of cheer.

Roman coins are great things to have. My first husband found one but I think his dad kept that. I have one that was given to me as a gift which is nice but not as good as actually finding it

I'm not even sure where mine are. Probably in one of the boxes still under the house.

Oh and the yogurts? You can buy Muller yogurts with little corners with either fruit compote or maybe little bits of cereal that you tip in but I don't think you can buy them on their own

Ah, OK, I misunderstood what you posted. We don't have that, just fruit or caramel or other soft stuff already on top, but I've never bothered buying them - far too sweet.

If the rumours are true a lot of so-called American propaganda is supposed to come from Russia, but they still have a lot of homegrown nutjobs who take what QAnon says as Gospel. We have our own brand of anti-vaxxers here and some of their rhetoric is American based too. We don't even have a Constitution but it doesn't stop people from going on about "Constitutional Rights"

The coins, did you literally pick them up, or buy them?

Bathing in perfume is fine if you mean just a few drops in the bathwater but someone drenched in the stuff usually has me sneezing like anything, the dreaded Lynx aftershave is just as bad,

The UK does not sell specific yoghurt toppings though some make me wish they did as I don't like the flavour of yoghurt they pair some of them up with on the Muller Corners.

I heard the rumours and suspected Russia well before that because of them puppeteering the shithead. I really despise humanity sometimes ( ... )

Muller corners originally started the trend but other firms jumped on the bandwagon and produced their own versions. You get a pot of yoghurt with a little side order attached.

Jade used to like yoghurt whatever the flavour, our latest addition, Freya likes plain but doesn't think much of the flavoured ones.

I bought a different Greek yogurt once that Ashley didn't like, but she can detect the scent wherever she is in the house. I think she likes it better than tuna. Sebastian will eat it, but he's not a yogurt fanatic like Ashley. She once wanted a piece of orange cake I was eating, which puzzled me until I realised yogurt was an ingredient. If yogurt was a controlled substance, she could be a sniffer cat.
