Congratulations! I'm a city girl but I totally understand - we had free entry to the Natural History Museum, MoMA etc and by about 7 I was going there myself after school to learn and explore.

Congratulations! Children need to be able to run around on their own and learn a certain level of self sufficiency and the problem solving skills that go with having to figure stuff out on their own. Glad yours is going to have the chance.
