End of a lovely day, of being just hungover enough to be liminal, not enough to feel too bad to enjoy it. So sorry I didn't make it... I had every intention of coming along right up until the afternoon, when Amanda phoned me from work saying she felt ill. It turned out to be no big deal, but nonetheless my concerns were such that I didn't really want to leave her indoors by herself.

I hope you have a great time in your new home and loads of new adventures. You'll come back to London in the end of course. Everyone always does. Hopefully I'll see you before then.

hiya! almost back on radar again - sorry you and amanda couldn't make it to the party, but I completely understand. Sometimes life has other plans! I'm hoping to have my first trip back to london in mid november (my reading week - oh joy - reading week without huge amounts of other work to do) but should be coming to and fro reasonably regularly. Not wanting to sound too much like Evita, I may have corporeally left london, but part of my heart will always be with it (cue violins etc )
