Finally got to see The Prestige this evening, after roast dinner no.2 of the weekend (lamb, from mum, with dad, a & j). SUCH a good one. My love affair with the career of Chris Nolan continues. I know! I was raving to mum in the car on the way home from the cinema about what a stunningly amazing film it is. I still remember the first time I saw it, quite a while after it 1st came out, at the prince charles cinema in soho with my friend dafydd. It was everso cheap and we'd started going their quite a lot, just as something to do other than booze really, but after Memento we had to find a quite bar to sit in, and made a bottle of wine last 6 times as long as it normally did with us, while we went back over and over it, piecing it all together. Like books, poems, most things; I like films that work on you AFTER they've finished...
