and of course, apart from being the autumn equinox today, its also me mam and dads 36th wedding anniversary. i rang them in perth (australia) this morning, and they'd all forgotten, unaware what date it was. Honestly!! Probably a sign of their great age

I had an online audio-chat with them earlier. They were in an internet café. They'd bought an iSight camera for Lex's iBook, but we couldn't get video-conferencing to work. It might have been something in the firewall or router configuration at the café. We'll try again tomorrow.

I like the idea of video-conferencing to the far side of the world.
