Apocalipsis Now

Ahh, we have more important things to worry about si?

Floods, storms and droughts. Melting Arctic ice, shrinking glaciers, oceans turning to acid. The world's top scientists warned last week that dangerous climate change is taking place today, not the day after tomorrow.

Future historians, looking back from a much hotter and less hospitable ( Read more... )

all of this should not be a suprise to anyone.

We as humans have been destroying the delicate balance of nature for a long time. It makes sense to me that changes are happening.

Perhaps mother earth is trying to "loofah" us off so she can start over and repair all the damage we have created.

Within days we have the ability to destroy what has taken thousands of years to create.

I am finding it almost creepy how your post goes hand in hand with mine.

You should go and look at my journal!

Yes, Laurie, today you both woke up with the same concern! You gave me much to think and become sad about... altough, as you put it, it is not a surprise.

How are things in your country? Is your government doing something? are your people ecology-conscious? I love Germany about this, even France, but Spain is still a toddler.

What did you learn from your "experiment"??? It's not wise for gods to menace fools :P . Why would you post things that aren't real? Doesn't that hurt your cedibillity? As you have not been mean to me yet I will remain a stead fast "friend" "retarded" follower. Even so you are human and everyone is mean sometimes. As for this disaster stuff, I've already told you how I feel of that. Not in my life time but the beginning of the very next is when I think something huge like falling out of orbit is going to happen. That is my prediction. :P (Laughs and wishs she could see it all go down)

I learned that we all love blood. I learned that nobody can convince you that you are wrong when you feel you are right. I never posted anything which was not true, I think you might have misunderstood. I could not care less about my credibility, not in Internet at least, this is only a tag in the whole masterplan of my life. I have not been mean to you yet? laughing, why should I? I have a problem with insults and bad words, not with different opinions or different cultures. You are valuable, very much so. Stay and let´s make a fool of ourselves together. In this big circus I am the leading clown.

I wonder...will the authorised report of Mr Blair and cohorts change our attitude towards the enviroment ?
I truly pray so.

And yet my indefatigable 'optimism' doubts people will refrain from pursuing their material comforts and privileges.
Francesca told me that in Milano the pollution has reached intolerable peaks and yet are people leaving their cars in the garage ?
On their ( and unfortunately ours ) dead body they would ! The traffic is solid as ever if not worse.
Oh, and on a dietary note which will probably exasperate you with all the dead cows eaters around the globe, my sister has also revealed to me that according to the latest scientific researches on alimentation, it has been proved that humans should feed uniquely on smaller animals such as chickens, rabbits, lambs and so on. We should eat a lot of fish, cereals, fruit and vegetables and reduce the intake of non vegetarian food down to two miserable portions a month.Heard that ? No more forcing this martyr to consume dead meat every two days or so ( ... )

you naughty naughty baby. Sleep now, we have a long day ahead.

Milano is certainly a chimney, Jesus, you wash your face with soap and the towel still gets stained. About me forcing you to eat dead meat...sighs, I will have to read those articles carefully before taking a decision. You need B group vitamins as I need good oxygen. A vegetarian diet is not totally correct, especially if you have some health issues. If only I could survive with milk! Mamá taught me that it is ten times better to eat properly than taking pills and injections. However, if big animals meat is the problem...smiling slowly here, we could make an exception, I am well aware you prefer...big animals ALIVE meat.

Oxford University ran a 5 year study into multi-vitamins. They concluded that the body doesn't absorb nutrition through tablets. Regular users of vitamin supplements showed absolutely no health benefits. The verdict was that plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits with small portions of meat pref. white meat was far more beneficial.

See? no pill supplements to absorb the vitamins. Eating just everything is small quantities never fails.

The problem is that I used to consider this a problem for future generations, but it is happening right now. I think of my son and I develop a rash.

I know what you mean. I hate to think of my children even growing up in a world such as this. Ecspecially with the threat of "the end" coming anytime. I suppose we just have to hope for the best and do whatever we can to prolong the inevitable.
