I'm reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and I just noticed that it's going to be a Tim Burton movie soon. All I can say is if he casts Johnny fucking Depp again, especially as Abe, I'm going to punch something

...With a title like that, I'm trying to figure out what sort of book it is, and have no idea, and am not sure if that's a good thing or not.

...Tim Burton? I didn't think he had anything to do with that as a movie. Some dude named Benjamin Walker is gonna be Lincoln, but who cares, because ALAN TUDYK IS GOING TO BE STEPHEN DOUGLAS.

And yes, my god, it's a fucking awesome book. I really, really need to start adding more alternate histories to my reading repertoire. But it's by the same guy who did Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, so how could I say no~

I LOVED that book. I got into an argument with my coworkers at the library, because they thought it was "disrespectful." But it's hilarious! And in some parts pretty damned creepy.

Only now when I think I know something about Lincoln I have to pause and try to remember if it's a real fact or something out of the book. ;)
