[She glances up at him when he enters the room, intrigued by the polite smile and gesture: the foreigners are usually a bit more uptight at the sight of her. For good reason, too, but this one has nothing to be concerned of.
For this meeting, anyway.
And if all proceeds well? He'll have nothing to concern himself in regards to her further.]
I am. [She closes the book in her hands and slips off the window sill, taking the time to grab the other book beside her before heading over to a shelf to put the first one away.]
I hope it wasn't too much trouble to come out here at this time.
[She slips the book onto the shelf, glancing over her shoulder to look at him before gesturing to a table in the room not far from either of them.]
Only fashionably, if even. [She says it politely in response, good naturedly even, although she can't honestly say she knows if he was or was not. She was quite patient (one had to be when dealing with those such as Dai under her wing) and that included waiting on others if necessary.
Regardless, she knows that she had very little time to sit and ponder the book she was reading and even less time to ponder over the one she'd acquired from Gamma.
And, even if he had been late, that would have been forgiven with his gesture to offer her a seat prior to him sitting down himself.
She crosses her legs as she listens to him, giving a small nod and smile to his words.]
It's only fair, I would think. You are a doctor of research, are you not? Researching and creating? [And destroying, but she leaves that part out. No sense making the effort on both their parts to have a fake pleasant conversation be for naught with unnecessary extra details that both of them knew already, anyway. Good things always came with bad, after all
