You truly have lived an amazing life and made some pretty sane choices about how to proceed along the way. Kudos to you Scott.
I didn't have time after all, yesterday, to read these stories. I'm not sure when I'll get to the other parts, but I'm looking forward to them.
A little aside~ I've often been quite taken with the idea of backward names and backward language. My LJ user name is actually my name (my last name, which most of my friends call me by) spelled backwards. When I was a young adult and still mostly being called by my first name, Debbi, I had an entire small circle of friends who went by backward spelled names and I was known to them as Ibbed.
