LJ changes it's header into an even uglier version of itself every month just to piss me off, I swear to god.
I'm glad you're feeling better! I'm sorry your Mom doesn't seem to get it, that has to be hard, having a parent who just doesn't understand - and ok I see what I did there and I'm leaving it but I swear to god I didn't notice while I was typing it. Ahem.
I RE-READ DIVERGENT THE OTHER DAY AND THAT PART IS FUCKING INSANEEEEEEEE. AND HOW HE'S TALKING TO HER THE ENTIRE TIME AND POINT BETWEEN HIS EYES AND STUFF AND THEN LATER WHEN HE TALKS ABOUT WHY HE ACTED THAT WAY AND I EXPLODE. I am dying of the movie version of that book just for intense stares.
To start, SO HAPPY THAT YOU'RE FEELING BETTER, it's great to feel like you're actually taking steps and getting better even with setbacks and yeah. :')
Can disaster narratives be the next vampires for fiction trends, please and thanks? I've only been waiting for this to be a trend since forever. (THIS IS ALSO WHY I OWN THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, Mary, I wrote fanfiction for it when it came out, what am I [also I am so glad you understand]).
Like, I hate admitting this because from the standpoint of the books it makes sense too, but I didn't have quite all of the feelings until the OotP movie came out. IT HELPED THAT DANRAD THOUGHT IT WAS ENDGAME AND SOLD IT AS ENDGAME and that Evanna was just kind of perfect. They way their relationship is portrayed - and yes, the way you don't have to TELL the audience why they work - is easily my favorite, best thing to come out of these movies, tbh.
Giiirl, you wrote DAY AFTER TOMORROW FANFIC? Whaat. WHAT. Did I ever tell you you're my hero. And ugh yes, all disaster narratives all the fucking time. Hahaha, it is like my personal mission to read all the dystopian YA books I can get my hands on. Have you read Blood Red Road by Moira Young? IT HAS GIRL REVOLUTIONARIES, that's all I'm saying.
I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW CONFIDENT DANRAD WAS THAT LUNA/HARRY WAS IT. THE GULP WHEN SHE TAKES HIS HAND (was that OotP?). Like I don't even consider that a romantic thing (at least not consciously)--in my headcanon Harry and Luna are perfectly platonic friends until after the war and then there's all these weird feelings and tense silences and handholding and MAKE OUTS--but it is still a Thing where Harry, idk, recognizes someone he can relate to, differently than he relates to Ron or Hermione and wowowow I LOVE THESE KIDS. :(
ugh, that header. i don't get why lj changes it like every week.
i am glad you're feeling better (:
i actually read divergent because i saw you mention it on tumblr! i liked it too. and same as you i don't even know why exactly i like it that much. OOOH THE KNIFE THROWING SCENE. and i like that scene where four is drunk. and can we talk about tris' mother? so sad she died. well, good thing tris and four were together at the end but i wouldn't have read it if they weren't (yay me for always reading the ending first...) and yay no love triangle but let's not talk about triangles because they are literally the worst.
lawl. jamie campbell bower as jace is the most hilarious (in a bad way) thing ever.

like, didn't she name one of her books after a Ron/Ginny fic she wrote?
