The screaming was loud enough that it caused a ringing in his ears that Lucius found most unpleasant. He flicked his wand and the woman ceased her distressed wailing, looking at him with grateful eyes.
Pathetic, really, how eager they became to please him. Her beseeching was worse than the screaming, however, and he sneered. She could plead, and as his eyes roamed her, he supposed he would take that which she was offering. Take it until she screamed from the pain of that.
His hand stroked her cheek. Foolish woman, either way she looked at it, she was cursed.
