The flames amazed him. He could get lost in them for hours and had been found staring into them on more than one occasion. It was as if he could discern the mysteries of the universe dancing there.
He turned his gaze away from the flickering light to the woman who lay bound beneath him. He smirked as he tilted the candle slightly. A single pearl of wax rolled down the side and hung, suspended in air for a moment before it finally fell.
She gasped as the heated wax dripped onto her skin, and he marveled in it.
