His heart nearly stopped as he moved through the rubble. Every flash of light hair made his breath catch as he stopped to check, to make certain that it was not white-blond. To make sure it was not that of his son.
Once he was certain that he saw his son lying underneath a pile of rocks, and he rushed forward, only to be realize it wasn't Draco.
When they found their son, his reaction was harsh, but it must have been expected. After all, Lucius Malfoy could hardly show the despair he'd have felt if Draco had died.
