hmmm... maybe... I tend to have this annoying personality flaw which generally leads me astray to be a little more optimistic. Now I fully acknowledge that politics isn't the strongest card in my hand and in this arena i have been wrong on a number of occasions (like when i passionately asserted that there was no way John Howard would get in for a second term... or a third
( ... )
>We wont stand for it, and the smallest abuse of power will ultimately end with Howard out on his ear. All the children overboard scandals, detention centre outrages, weapons of mass destruction goose chases couldn't get him out, but if he goes and flexes his muscles (that he has been carefully honing whilst jogging in a daggy track suit) directly at the Australian people we will remove the Liberal government from power... plain and simple...
eh?
>We will not nod and agree with everything that he pushes through the senate out of sheer fear.
(Holds interest rates above your head and shakes tantalisingly)
Wanna rephrase that?
Youre right, politics isnt your strongest suit is it.
We are sheep J, plain and simple, and the sooner we all move to New Zealand to proove it - the better.

ok, so i'm not that great with economice either...
But i do have an unswerving faith in human nature, whether it be misplaced or not, and a hope that at the end of the day, right is still right.
Look i fully appreciate that i may well be wrong, and maybe there is a little less in the glass than i realise, but i don't share the feeling of impending apocolypse that y'all seem to hold. I'm not a big fan of the Liberal party or their policies. Nor am i that great of a believer in the Labour party either. Politics in general, is a farce. I just don't feel the noose around my neck just yet.
I'd like to say that I popped on in to add to this substantial debate about a very important social and political issue (not to mention an economic one), but that's just not true.
I actually popped in to show you an icon I made in your honour. After your comment about my bosom at Jen's party, I couldn't help myself...
