Ch. 1
Brandon Margera had spent most of his career at Cambridge and Oxford trying to be the best arthopologist the eighteen century had seen. He was familiar with the jungles of Africa and India and even those scarely seen in China but the Amazon was his ultimate desination. Ever since his father first told him about the lost civilization of Atlantis and then the mysterious and magical Amazonia women legend he had been willing to dedicating his life to finding out the truth.
Three weeks into the trip with his ever companion the clever and the talented author Ville Valo by his side, he was starting to doubt the legend. The only strange thing that their little group had seen were giant bugs not native to the Britian and monkeys. It was almost like admitting defeat, but Brandon had decided to leave back for the university a week early.
"So do you think we should start packing for our ship Brandon?"
Ville said his ever companion all through university and beyond. Not that it was anyone's business, but Ville was the reason that Brandon shied away from marriages that his parents arranged for him. It was almost like the one black mark on his record that he was in love with his lifelong friend, and that Ville was willing to be loved by him. Brandon had tried hard to tell his mother but she would hear nothing of such an obsurd and disgusting thing. In fact, telling her just made it harder for him because she was constantly arranging for him to meet someone's daugther.
"I suppose so. I've grown tired of this trip Ville. There is nothing here after all this time of research it is futile."
Ville smiled sadly at him and then grabbed his hand to drag him a bit further from their makeshift village deep in the jungle. Brandon was afraid to be that far from camp in the middle of the night but he understood it was the only way to be alone with Ville.
"Don't worry kulta everything will pull through this mess. Who knows...maybe one of those amazonia women will follow us home."
Brandon smiled at that and then they shared a quick kiss being careful in case someone found from camp walked up on them. Instead there was a noise a little ways down from them that caught their attention. Brandon pulled away first wiping his hand on his sleeve as if he could hide Ville's touch that way.
"What was that?"
"Let's go find out kulta."
The two lovers silently walked towards the noise until the sound of a waterfall caught thier ears. Brandon poked his head around the corner first and what he saw, he just couldn't believe it. There in the middle of a valley lay a creature for that was the only word he could think of all covered in grass and leaves. The pale legs and the torso barely covered by anything but what amazed him was the blonde hair that was towering from it's crown down it's back.
"Oh my...it's true. It's all true Ville. Ville??"
Brandon turned away and realized his lover wasn't there anymore. Panick set in and Brandon stood up ready to run back the way they had came thinking Ville had run into some wild animal or a group of cannibal natives.
"Leaving so soon Mr. Margera? I thought you wanted to find us."
Brandon spun around expecting to find a man standing in front of him from the deep voice but was surprised it was the leave and grass covered creature. It was eerie that the thing knew his name but what was more eerie was how fast it had moved from the valley to right beside him.
"How...where's Ville?"
"I know everything already Mr. Margera...your lover is safe but I prevented him from coming to our realm. One human per century is our way."
Brandon was sweating and afraid now not clearly understanding everything but he was more afraid that the creature would hurt him.
"My name is Jonne Aaron and I am not a woman...I'm not human either so stop those thoughts now."
"What are you then?"
"An Amazonian. The leader of the Amazonian to be exact."
