Time Stretching

I have a bit of a problem with MMOs ... I stretch myself a little too thin.

I've got FFXI and all my friends there, but aside from updates that add story, and aside from doing stuff with friends, my interest in the game itself is pretty close to zero.

I've got WoW, which I find to be much more of a *game* than FFXI (which is more like work). Although it's evil and hateful on PvP server: PvP has its time and its place, and it's called battlegrounds. World PvP is more of an annoyance and a hindrance than anything enjoyable, really. At least to me.

And as a subdivision of WoW, I've furthermore got motivations to play on no less than three servers: two PvP (ew) - one where my roommate plays, one where some online friends play - and one non-PvP (yay) where a RL friend plays.

Factor in that I also enjoy playing console games from time to time, never mind more responsible or socially acceptable stuff like work, school, family, doing RL social stuff (this one I'm particularly bad at), or even just normal crap like cleaning my apartment and cooking my own food.

As there are insufficient hours in the day, *something's* got to go... I'm just not really sure what. Probably the most sensible thing to do would be to ditch MMOs entirely. This wouldn't be a wholly bad idea, but I think that might free up slightly *too* much time *and* leave me pretty lacking in social interaction. (For reasons which are probably apparent to anyone who thinks about it, but which I won't get into, for the sake of not whining any more than I already am.)

In short: waaaaaah.
