beautiful picture of Ben Whishaw as Richard II.
I enjoyed his perfomance seen last saturday on BBC very much,
much more then that Derek Jacobi ( my only other reference and from years ago)
Whishaw's Richard was mostly vulnerable trough isolation in his position, where Jacobi's Richard was that of a spoiled child.
also the far less extravagant dressing of the characters did wonders for the intensity of the play.

sadly I've only seen teasers on internet, hopefully will see it soon. Good to hear it's interesting, so far I only know this actor from audio version of the play "Cock" and I really enjoyed his performance

I am so glad you drew these and shared. I think all are handsome men, but Richard II is my favorite. I think I would happily bow to that crown. :D
