When I get woken up at 8 on a Saturday morning, I am fairly certain that there's something happening at home which requires my exclusive attention and which my highly resourceful and fiercely independent parents can't handle on their own. Actually this infy - thing makes sense in a way ... Parents are looking for a stable & secure job for the groom first and the earning factor comes in next..In the context of IT industry Infy has that 'secure job' reputation, which no company has. And coupled with that the allure of onsites etc etc makes the 'infy groom' tag very much attractive to the prospective in-laws . They are not evaluating potential grooms based on academic merit/brilliance.

(PS - I'm not an Infoscion :-) )

I cant help laughing reading this ! Considering the fact that I am an EX Infoscion ,I'd say people have such misconceptions about being employed there!
Btw if this guy you were trying to find out about is Bangalorean and you could tell me which school he went to I might be able to dig up some info :D

I just strayed into this blog and got to read this. I like the spirit and the humour it is written in :) And yes... Software and Infosys does sell a lot in metros, specially Bengalooru. Just wondering what would be the factor you would be looking for in a gal, when you are ready in the market :) This is an open question to all the guys out there!!

Good read!! I thought I will chip in with my two cents worth as I am going through the same hassle of browsing alliance's profiles over the net.. From my experience I feel searching by name alone doesn't suffice :-) For eg some times guys don't give their first name and last name.. they have names like " long live Tendulkar" "wham bam thank you..!!!" ( just for eg)..the approach I follow is ... get some basic info was where he/she is working.. In all probability there will be a community for the company:)and try searching there with whatever filters I have:) .. But yeah even then many a times I come out of the search empty handed!!.. anyways good read.. thought will chip in few words ( i guess it became lil too many) you can read my blog at dwarakblabbers.blogspot.com
